My name is Scott Butler and I have lived in Chagrin Falls since 1995 except for a short stint in Canal Winchester. I enjoy fixing things and hope to help you retain the use of your belongings with economical repairs. In my personal life I have been a Cubmaster, an Assistant Scoutmaster, have owned my own business since 1998, and am an instructor at Conover Workshops in Parkman, Ohio.

I'm happy to discuss your project via phone and email at no charge. Once we connect, if you can share photos that is always a big help. I'm also happy to meet you at my house in Chagrin Falls at a mutually agreed upon time.
Handyman/Repair Services
If we decide to work together, costs can be charged on a per task basis or on a time-and-materials basis as follows:
- $50.00 for first hour or portion thereof. Time begins when I leave my house to drive to your location. Minimum charge is $50.00.
- $50.00 for each hour or portion thereof after the first hour.
- Costs for parts and materials billed as needed. Clients agree to a base charge of up to $50.00 without further approval. Parts and materials in excess of $50.00 will be verbally cleared with clients.
Clogged Toilet Service
$70.00 for first toilet. While I'm there, let's verify function of all toilets. Subsequent toilets during same visit $30.00 each.
Clock Services
Pricing for clocks is as follows:
- Grandfather clock visit is $200.00 for the first two hours. Additional hours billed at $50.00/hr. Parts billed at cost +10%. Includes in-place cleaning, oiling, and adjusting. Precise alignment of minute hand to strike times might not be possible.
- For key-wound clocks like mantle clocks and wall-hung clocks, prices are determined by the number of arbors your clock has. Arbors are the things you wind with keys, i.e., the holes in the front of your clock. The Hamburg American Clock is a 2-arbor clock
- If you want me to take a look at a clock and tell you what I think about it, $20.00.
- One arbor clock maintenance: $150.00. Parts billed at cost +10%.
- Two arbor clock maintenance: $300.00. Parts billed at cost +10%.
- Three arbor clock maintenance: $500.00. Parts billed at cost +10%.
- Clocks with battery movements are priced as follows:
- Battery clocks with pendulums: $70.00 plus cost of movement and batteries. A quality German movement with pendulum and chimes can cost about $100.
- Time-only battery clocks: $50.00 plus cost of movement and batteries which could add about $20.00.
- Case work billed at $50.00/hr plus materials. This includes things like patching veneer, retouching paint, re-polishing, securing hinge screws, securing feet, and basically anything involving the wooden case a clock movement is housed in.
- Travel for pick up or drop-off: $20.00 up to 30 minutes one-way. If I pick up and drop off, that's $40.00.
