Grab Bars and Towel Bars

Grab bars are a popular choice for clients who want stability in navigating their home.

One client asked for a grab bar to help step up to an outside stoop. This is a white, powder-coated bar that is fastened to the post with stainless steel construction screws.

Here is an angled grab bar next to a potty.

This is a grab bar that is used to enter a shower that has a rim that needs to be stepped over.

Grab bars are purchased in lengths that permit them to be screwed into studs, as shown in the illustration below. Moen makes a nice line of hardware that permits their grab bars to be attached to drywall which gives a lot of flexibility in placement. This hardware triples the cost of parts for an install, but it makes things go smoothly.
