The Chagrin Repair Shop provides handyman services to the Chagrin Falls area and its neighboring communities. If you have something that you would like to have done, contact us to see if we can help.
- We are happy to do things that you no longer want to do.
- We clear "Honey-Do" lists.
- We like to say we are professional manual readers — we can figure out just about anything — so if you need help setting up something you bought, give us a call.
- No job too small, but we have a $50.00 minimum charge for our time.
What kinds of things do we do? Here are some typical projects:
We also fix things like:
Clocks
(see examples.)
Vintage woodworking tools like hand planes
(see example.)
Vintage sewing machines
(see examples.)
Other things we've worked on:
- A client brought her Android phone that she had pulled apart. We got it back together again.
- Dehumidifiers, e.g., cleaning to clear pesky maintenance errors.
- Garden hoses that leak or need new ends (see examples.)
- Computers running Windows, printers, faxes, and Mac/Apple. I have been my home-based business' IT support staff since 1998 and I'd be happy to help you.
- Frayed or loose appliance or trailer wires that need soldering and heat-shrinking.
- Hand tools of any sort that need cleaning, sharpening, or general maintenance.
- Lawnmowers and other small-engine machines.
- We will take a look at anything.
Some people argue against repairing, saying for just a little more money (or less money!) you could buy new. So why repair? There are a few reasons, some pragmatic, some value-driven:
- What you have might be as good or better than what you can buy new.
- Your item might no longer be available.
- Your item might have sentimental value or you simply like it.
- You value taking care of your things.
- You don't want to contribute to filling up landfills.
